As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our fabrication team at our Norwich facility.
Role Overview:
As a Welder Fabricator, you'll be responsible for the fabrication of bespoke metalwork for our control panels and package substation enclosures. You'll work from engineering drawings to weld and assemble steel structures with precision and pride.
Key Responsibilities:
* MIG/TIG welding and fabrication of mild steel and stainless steel components
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication diagrams
* Cutting, bending, drilling, and assembling steelwork using hand tools, power tools and CNC machinery
* Ensuring all fabrications meet quality and dimensional standards
* Working safely and maintaining a clean, organised workspace
* Assisting with powder-coating prep and coordination with our coating contractors
* Supporting continuous improvement efforts in workshop processes
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a welder fabricator in a workshop environment
* Competent in MIG welding (TIG experience an advantage)
* Ability to read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings
* Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
* Relevant welding qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* CSCS or equivalent certification beneficial but not essential
