Project Planner - Major Infrastructure Projects
Location: Bath (Hybrid)
Robert Half is partnering with a leading organisation delivering nationally significant infrastructure programmes. We are seeking an experienced Planner to support the successful delivery of a portfolio of major infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary project teams on large-scale, complex programmes, from feasibility and detailed design through to construction and completion.
The Role
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will join a growing planning function supporting three Major Infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining and assuring project programmes, working collaboratively with Project Managers, Designers, contractors and wider stakeholders.
Using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project as your primary tools, you will ensure programmes are robust, realistic and aligned with delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborating with multiple teams involved in project delivery
2. Developing, reviewing and progressing multiple integrated project programmes
3. Leading discussions around programme logic, sequencing and agreed durations
4. Proactively identifying and assessing programme risks to delivery
5. Integrating contractor, supplier and third-party programmes into overall plans
6. Producing programme reports, dashboards and look-ahead schedules at both project and programme level
About You
You will be a confident, self-sufficient Planner with a strong understanding of project management and delivery within complex engineering environments. Your technical planning expertise, combined with strong communication skills, will allow you to challenge assumptions, manage risk and clearly communicate issues to a wide range of stakeholders.
Essential Experience
7. Advanced use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
8. Assessing contractor programmes in line with NEC contract requirements
9. Experience working on complex engineering or infrastructure projects
10. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Desirable Experience
11. Experience working on major infrastructure or capital delivery programmes
12. Understanding of design interfaces, third-party and environmental requirements
13. Managing workloads across a portfolio of projects simultaneously
