Job Summary
The IM&T Systems Tester is responsible for providing effective complex application and integration testing services for applications used at The Trust, following best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing test plans
* Creating and maintaining test scripts
* Executing test plans and scripts
Test issue resolution will cover:
* Patient and clinical pathways
* Integration with third-party systems
* Reporting
* Printers
Location: Kingston
Job Type: Temporary
Duration: Approximately 6 months with possible extension
Start date: 1st April
Pay rates: Up to £25/hour Umbrella or £22/hour PAYE including holiday pay
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Workplace: Office / Hospital
Key Responsibilities:
Testing:
* Develop and communicate test schedules
* Interpret complex test requirements to develop, execute, and report on test plans and scripts
* Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to understand scenarios and develop test plans
* Maintain CRS (Cerner Millennium) Regression Test Pack
* Develop and maintain regression test packs for supported applications
* Ensure tests meet acceptance criteria with documented evidence
* Utilize standard methodology and tools
* Contribute to risk management
* Support all testing phases including post-implementation
* Coordinate with colleagues, users, and suppliers to ensure testing continuity
* Document test failures and ensure timely re-testing
Service Improvement:
* Assist in developing policies and procedures to enhance service
* Implement service improvement plans
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
* ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing or similar qualification
* At least 3 years in IT Applications Support or Implementation
* At least 2 years designing & documenting test plans and software testing experience
* Experience developing testing procedures
* Supervisory experience with third-party personnel
* Advisory experience on testing best practices
* Experience with electronic logging of test incidents
* Strong knowledge of testing lifecycle stages
* Proficiency with process/data flows and complex business models
* Analytical skills to develop effective test scenarios & scripts
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Ability to quickly understand detailed information
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Problem-solving skills with persistence and creativity
