Job Location and Compensation
Leeds – Base Pay: £37.18 per hour; Overtime: £55.77 per hour. Weekly travel allowances: £575. Three‑month retention payment: £1,000. On‑site gym and subsidised canteen available.
Responsibilities
* Program, set up and operate a vertical lathe to produce heavy components for the oil & gas industry – up to 12‑tonne components.
* Edit, adjust and create basic programs using Fanuc and/or Heidenhain machine controls.
* Perform in‑process inspection using various measuring instruments, ensuring all castings and components meet specifications.
Working Hours
37 hours per week, spread across a 4‑day night shift pattern:
* Monday to Thursday – 21:15 to 07:15.
Compensation and Benefits
* Base Pay Rate: £37.18 / Overtime: £55.77 (umbrella PAYE).
* Travel Allowances: £115.00 per shift (£575 per week) – applicant must live over 50 miles from the Leeds facility to qualify.
* Retention Payment: £1,000 for every successful 3‑month period worked.
* Access to onsite subsidised canteen and gym facilities.
* Assignment Duration: 6 months – often extended but not guaranteed and subject to workload.
