Reeson Education are actively looking to recruit an experienced Swimming Instructor for a large SEN client school based in Barking. They work with a broad range of SEN(D) needs from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

* Approx 8-10 students per session
* Supporting Swimming teacher
* Barking based - good transport links plus on road unrestricted parking
Swimming Instructor - Role details:
* Support students with special needs in and around the Swimming Pool
* Manage behaviours using positive strategies
* Supervise students getting in and out of pool and in changing areas
* Set up and tidy away swimming floats/resources
* Support the Swimming teacher in delivering sessions
* Encourage pupils to get in and out of Pool between sessions to ensure timetable runs on time
* Working as a team to ensure every child progresses and enjoys their swimming!!
The pool is warm. The kids absolutely love their swimming so this is a job for someone positive and fun-loving!
No previous SEN experience needed, some experience as a TA or a Sports Coach would be great!
