Role Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrician to join Galliford Try in Devon. Reporting to the Site Supervisor/Manager and coordinated by Project Engineers, you will be responsible for Electrical installation / Maintenance on Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Pumping Stations, and general industries such as Mines & Quarrying, Environmental Agency facilities, and Local Authority infrastructure.
This role may require participation in an ‘on-call’ rota for emergency breakdown attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the health & safety of yourself & others.
2. Carry out installations / maintenance to standard and within timeframes.
3. Complete site documentation as required.
4. Red-line on site ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings, marking them ‘As-Built’.
5. Suggest improvements to the Site Supervisor / Manager.
6. Check goods delivered are as per order.
7. Identify changes to works info and report to the Site Supervisor / Manager.
8. Fault finding and diagnostics during emergency call-outs.

Experience and Qualifications:
1. Industrial electrical installation / maintenance experience.
2. Industry-relevant ONC / NVQ / City & Guilds qualification.
3. Experience in water, wastewater, or general industries.
4. Testing & Inspection qualification is an advantage.
5. Knowledge of electrical drawings and schematics.
6. Experience with SWA, Tray, Trunking, Plastic Conduit installation.
7. Knowledge of water industry instrumentation.
8. Relevant certifications like ECS, SSSTS, Confined Space, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene). Training will be provided for shortfalls.
