Neighbourhood Coordinator - Houghton Regis Neighbourhood Co-Ordinator Houghton Regis/Letchworth/Peterborough P osition: Neighbourhood Coordinator (Housing Officer) Type: Part time/Permanent Hours: 19 Hours per week, hours over Mon,Tues,Thurs & Fri (Permanent) Areas: Houghton Regis, Letchworth, Peterborough Based: Scheme Office, 95 Clarkes Way Houghton Regis Beds LU5 5HX– With Hybrid working Salary : £15,933.48 Travel : There will be an element of remote/home working for this role, however, the successful candidate will need to travel frequently and have a visible presence on their patch and undertake mandatory compliance checks. A valid driving license and personal vehicle are essential. Mileage is paid at £0.45 per mile and is calculated from office to office. Habinteg will also run an enhanced DBS check. About the Role You will be responsible for delivering housing services to our tenants at our schemes in Houghton Regis, Letchworth and Peterborough. The role covers 66 properties in the patch so a clean driving license is essential, and Habinteg will also run an enhanced DBS check. This is a generic and rewarding housing management role - and a challenging one. You will be letting properties, carrying out scheme inspections, including key health and safety checks, helping tenants to keep up to date with their rent, and liaising with social services and occupational health services to ensure tenants can successfully maintain their tenancy and live independently. You will also be dealing with tenancy issues, including managing reports of anti-social behaviour. You will be working as part of a small team managed by the Neighbourhood Manager and will be expected to achieve stretching and ambitious targets. Tenant engagement is key to Habinteg’s success, and you will work closely with tenant representatives and tenant groups. About You You will be committed and enthusiastic, thriving on the challenges of working independently and the responsibility and rewards that brings. You will have some experience and knowledge of housing management in the social housing sector and will be committed to Habinteg’s inclusive housing mission. Computer literacy is needed, as are sound written and verbal communication skills. You will be flexible and agile in your approach, being able to adapt your approach to different circumstances and service demands.
