Role Summary

Grade 6, £31,236 - £36,636 per annum. 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Full time in office with hybrid flexibility (max 2 days home per week). 33 days annual leave plus 9 university closed days.


Purpose of Role

Senior Executive Assistant to provide high‑quality support to two members of the University Executive and members of the Executive team. Act as the point of contact for the Deputy Principals (DP) and support other Executive Assistants and Admin Assistants.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Diary management, email prioritisation, meeting coordination and travel arrangements.
* Securely manage travel, expenses and departmental purchase card authorisations.
* Draft meeting notes, circulate to relevant people within tight deadlines.
* Support team collaboration, coordinate work to meet deadlines.
* Respond to internal and external contacts seeking information or service.
* Provide positive university image with responsive and prompt responses.
* Lead user of ERP, Office 365 and Admin Control – provide advice & guidance on processes.
* Contribute to decision making by providing relevant information and opinions.
* Plan, prioritise and organise own work and team objectives.
* Solve standard day‑to‑day problems proactively.


Essential Criteria

* First degree level or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience supporting senior level management in a fast‑paced environment.
* Demonstrable team management experience – strong people management skills.
* Proficient use of Office 365 and other IT packages.
* High attention to detail and accuracy; team working and effectiveness.
* Well‑developed interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work quickly, flexibly and accurately in a dynamic, changing and pressured environment.
* Professional and proactive approach.


Desirable Criteria

* Experience working in the Higher Education sector.
