Job Title: 1:1 Maths & English Tutor – Daventry
Location: Daventry and surrounding areas (in-person sessions in homes and community settings)

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to support children and young people in Daventry with Maths and English. This rewarding role involves working with learners outside of mainstream school settings, helping them close academic gaps, build confidence, and re-engage positively with their education.
You will deliver personalised, child-centred tuition tailored to each learner’s individual needs and ability level.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 sessions in Maths and English (up to KS3/KS4, depending on experience).
* Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with SEND, SEMH, or other additional needs.
* Use effective behaviour management and engagement techniques.
* Monitor and record progress, providing clear feedback and next steps to parents/carers and the tuition team.
* Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) is preferred; strong tutoring or teaching experience will also be considered.
* Good subject knowledge in Maths and English.
* Experience working with children or young people, ideally including those with additional needs.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one (support provided).
* Right to work in the UK.
