Are you an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to smarter, greener infrastructure projects? We have a fantastic role waiting for you! Join our team and play a pivotal role in achieving our vision of delivering brilliant infrastructure solutions. You will assist in the management of commercial responsibilities in order to maximise profit and control costs.
Ideally you have a relevant degree in construction or commercial management and demonstrable experience in subcontractor management. A strong commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of NEC3 forms of contract—particularly ECC NEC3 Option C—are essential, along with sound knowledge of relevant construction and contract law. You should possess good technical construction knowledge and advanced Excel skills, as well as excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Previous client‑facing experience is preferred, and you must be comfortable developing and maintaining relationships with project stakeholders at all levels. Good verbal and written communication skills are vital to effectively convey complex commercial information and support collaborative project delivery. You will need the ability to prioritise your own workload and act collaboratively while inspiring others to do the same. The role requires a proactive approach in identifying and escalating issues promptly, showing resilience in the face of challenges, and taking personal responsibility for problem resolution.
In addition to helping you reach your career goals, we offer a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 24‑26 days per annum, and perks including Clancy Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well‑known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, a cycle‑to‑work scheme and an Employee Assistance Programme.
Clancy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. If you require any reasonable adjustments to be made for you to attend an interview, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.
