HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd provides Housing Repairs & Maintenance and Environmental Services for the tenants and residents of Harlow. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our existing repairs & maintenance craft department. You will hold at least an NVQ 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in carpentry UPVC experience desirable.
In addition, you must have experience in basic plumbing, plastering (patch plastering), along with basic skills in all repairs & maintenance trades.
You must also hold a full valid UK driving license as you will be required to attend properties in different locations in Harlow.

Duties:

* Liaise with other employees of the Company as necessary to complete specified works.

* Deal courteously and efficiently with the general public to meet the needs of the Service user.

* All Carpentry/ UPVC fitters are required to work at height, off ladders, platforms or scaffolding. Protective clothing and headgear is mandatory.
* All UPVC works, locks, frames, windows, doors, handles, stays, sashes and hinges to be fitted/renewed as and when required.
* All wooden ironmongery to be fitted, where required – locks, hinges etc.
* Works will be required inside and outside of buildings.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
NVQ 2 or equivalent
CITY& GUILDS or equivalent
Trained carpenter with UPVC knowledge/experience
Experience of kitchen fitting, small plumbing work, patch plastering
Basic knowledge and understanding of health & safety
Have an awareness of Equality and
Diversity and how it impacts on the role and service users
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Can use own initiative
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Fully trained in power tool use
Be physically fit
Have good physical coordination skills
