A large, highly respected manufacturing organisation based near Dagenham is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a well-invested, safety-focused manufacturing environment where best practice and continuous improvement are genuinely encouraged.
The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on Health & Safety experience from a manufacturing background and will be based within a commutable distance of Dagenham / Romford and the surrounding areas.
The Role:
Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for supporting and driving Health & Safety standards across the manufacturing site, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and internal policies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety procedures
* Conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations
* Ensuring compliance with UK H&S legislation and manufacturing best practice
* Delivering toolbox talks and supporting safety training initiatives
* Advising managers and operational teams on Health & Safety matters
* Promoting a strong safety culture across the site
About You:
* Proven Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) highly desirable
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
* Proactive, detail-focused and committed to continuous improvement
* Able to commute easily to Dagenham / Romford
