Job Introduction
Here at Tarmac Alfreton Aircrete we are looking for a Shift Production Manager.
The Shift Production Manager at Alfreton AirCrete is responsible for the safe and efficient running of the production line
during their shift. They lead the shift team to ensure production targets are met while maintaining strict adherence to
safety, quality, and environmental standards. The role is critical in ensuring smooth plant operations, resolving issues
as they arise, and ensuring handovers between shifts are accurate and effective. This role provides development
opportunities towards more senior operational leadership positions.
In this role, you will:
· Lead and supervise the shift production team to meet daily production targets safely and efficiently.
· Ensure all shift activities comply with Tarmac’s health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
· Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to manage breakdowns and minimize downtime.
· Monitor production processes and make real-time adjustments to optimize performance.
· Complete shift reports, production data, and handover documentation accurately.
· Investigate and escalate operational issues as needed.
· Support continuous improvement activities to enhance plant performance.
· Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure safe working practices on shift.
· Provide coaching, guidance, and support to shift team members.
· Report and investigate any incidents, near misses, or non-conformances.
· Ensure compliance with site procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
