Support, Time and Recovery (STaR) Worker

We are seeking a part-time, Band 4 Support Worker to join the Adult Community Mental Health Team based in Civic House, Borehamwood. You will provide intensive support to service users within South-West Hertfordshire. Candidates should have experience working with individuals who have mental health issues in the community. Please note that HPFT no longer offers sponsorship for support worker roles; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing mental health services to adults
* Assist a qualified duty worker to support the team's duty functions
* Support in the assessment and provision of social care
* Collaborate closely with the Team Leader and senior staff
* Work within the Care Programme Approach / Care Management process with a focus on Recovery Principles
* Provide support, allocate time, and promote recovery for service users
* Support the care coordinator in implementing recovery-focused care plans for assigned service users
* Ensure service users engage beneficially with their Care Plan and access appropriate services regularly and consistently

Job responsibilities
The role involves supporting the team's duty function. Duty hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will work alongside qualified staff from social work, occupational therapy, or nursing. Your day may include contact with service users via phone, in our Borehamwood clinic, or in their homes.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 qualification or mental health certificate Level 3, or willingness to undertake such training as resources allow
* Commitment to Continuing Personal Development
* Venepuncture training
Experience
* Solid experience providing mental health services within a team setting, which may include personal lived experience of mental health difficulties
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This position is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A disclosure check will be required through the Disclosure and Barring Service to identify any criminal convictions.
