We are seeking a dynamic and organised Food Service Delivery Manager to oversee our food delivery operations. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and a valid driver's license. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate delivery of food products to clients, manage delivery schedules, and maintain the highest standards of service quality.
Our service is a Meals on Wheels catering scheme delivering to the elderly and most vulnerable people in the North West.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Delivery Management:**
2. Oversee daily food delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
3. Plan and optimise delivery routes for efficiency.
4. Monitor delivery schedules and ensure that all orders are delivered within specified timeframes.
5. **Team Leadership:**
6. Supervise staff, providing training and support to ensure excellent service.
7. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement.
8. **Customer Service:**
9. Build strong relationships with clients and address any concerns or feedback promptly.
10. Ensure all deliveries meet quality standards and customer expectations.
11. **Logistics Coordination:**
12. Cook and coordinate food preparation and packaging for delivery.
13. Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels.
14. **Safety and Compliance:**
15. Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards during delivery.
16. Monitor vehicle maintenance and compliance with driving regulations.
17. **Reporting:**
18. Track delivery performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
19. Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in food service, logistics, or delivery management preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficient in using delivery management software and navigation tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems quickly.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Comfortable driving for extended periods.
Hours will be approx 7.30am-2pm, 3 days a week, to start, increasing as the business grows

Pay: £15.00 per hour
