Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker (Senior Mentor) to join a well-established childrens residential service supporting young people with autism, complex needs, and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a role model Provide day-to-day care, supervision, and emotional support Promote positive behaviour and manage challenging situations appropriately Work as a Key Worker, completing case notes, reports, and care planning Support education, social development, and recreational activities Safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people Senior / Leadership Duties Lead shifts when required and cover in the absence of senior staff Support, mentor, and guide junior staff members Contribute to staff meetings, supervision, and training Assist with rota planning and team coordination Care Planning & Administration Maintain accurate and detailed records of young peoples progress Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and care reviews Complete social and emotional reports when required General Responsibilities Transport young people to school, appointments, and activities (driving required) Maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment Participate in sleep-in shifts (flexibility available) Undertake additional reasonable duties as required About You We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in working with children or young people with complex needs or challenging behaviour Knowledgeable in trauma-informed care and child development Calm, resilient, and confident in managing difficult situations A strong communicator and team player Naturally supportive with leadership potential Essential Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence Right to work full-time in the UK (no restrictions) Desirable: Level 3/4 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent Previous experience in a senior or shift-leading role Whats on Offer Competitive pay with additional sleep-in payments Supportive xsngvjr and collaborative working environment Full training and ongoing professional development Career progression opportunities Free parking and on-site facilities Staff benefits including meals and casual dress Safeguarding This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check .
