European Sales Manager, Distributor Management

European Sales Manager, €70,000 Basic Salary + €6,000 Performance Bonus. Pan-European focus and extensive Travel. Our client is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist care equipment sold through distributors into the healthcare market including hospitals and care homes. We seek an Irish based International Sales Manager who is highly driven and disciplined to manage the pan-European distributor network. This is a Business Development oriented role focused on achieving ambitious sales targets and strategically expanding their commercial footprint across Europe. The distributors are largely in place, but the role requires an effective distributor manager who can drive and mentor them to deliver maximum results.

We are looking for a performance-focused sales professional to take ownership of the distributors and deliver high-impact results and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities of the European Sales Manager

* Build and maintain productive, long-lasting strategic relationships with key clients and distributors.
* Execute joint market activities with the distributors, including dual calling with the distributor sales representatives during visits.
* Provide regular, comprehensive product training and support to distributor teams, ensuring they are current on all new products and promotional campaigns.
* Organising and overseeing the company's presence at niche European exhibitions and industry events.
* Planning dual-marketing initiatives with the local distributors

The Ideal Candidate for the Role of European Sales Manager

* You will have experience in a similar role with a high emphasis on international travel and selling through channel, agents or distributors.
* Previous industry experience is not necessary, but you must have sold products on an international basis through a third-party.
* Another European language on top of English would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
* You'll need to be a highly disciplined self-starter, capable of thriving in a demanding, results-oriented environment. Your ability to plan and organise a quarter in advance will be critical to your success.
* You will possess a proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, motivate external partners, and maintain the highest standards of commercial conduct.
* This role requires a significant commitment to extensive international travel, often up to three weeks per month (Monday to Friday).
* This position is best suited for a highly self-motivated individual whose lifestyle accommodates this frequent travel schedule. All travel expenses, including hotels and meals, are managed via a company credit card, with European trips typically planned a quarter in advance for maximum organisational efficiency.
