Experienced Finance Assistant required to join an exciting, forward-thinking, strategic business based in Sheffield.
The role is responsible for assisting with the finance function with a focus on Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and cash management.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers.
2. Checking and processing employee expenses.
3. Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
4. Assisting with the annual budget setting.
5. Reconciliation of key control accounts, including all bank reconciliations, on a monthly basis.
6. Performing other ad hoc duties as required.
This role is open to candidates from any industry. Previous experience in finance is essential.
Ideal candidates will be QAAT qualified or studying towards AAT qualification.
Good IT skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You should be proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
