The Role
AI Ops Engineer, you will ensure AI systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and governable in production. You will own the operational backbone of AI: deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management, and compliance.
Your responsibilities
* Design and operate deployment pipelines (CI/CD for models and prompts and related artefacts.)
* Manage lifecycle: versioning, promotion, rollback, and retirement.
* Implement monitoring and observability (performance, user interaction, drift, data quality.)
* Ensure AI systems meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
* Optimise inference performance, scalability, and cost.
* Manage infrastructure for training and inference (cloud, containers, GPUs.)
* Enable reproducibility through experiment tracking and artefact management.
* Support incident response and root-cause analysis for AI failures.
* Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to design and implement scalable and reliable machine learning infrastructure.
* Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning projects, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment processes.
* Monitor and maintain the performance of machine learning models in production, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.
* Implement best practices for version control, testing, and documentation of machine learning code and models.
* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of machine learning solutions into existing systems and workflows.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and DevOps technologies, and continuously improve the infrastructure and processes.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Experience integrating Python backends with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React.)
* Exposure to large-scale enterprise datasets and knowledge management systems.
* Familiarity with MLOps practices for deploying and monitoring AI.
* Understanding of Agile delivery, ADO/Jira workflows, and collaborative development.
* Knowledge of data security, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
* Domain knowledge in aeroengine and manufacturing.
