About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Dyslexia Tutor to provide one-to-one and small group support for students with dyslexia at one of our welcoming partner schools in Rochester. This rewarding role involves helping learners develop their literacy skills, build confidence, and access the wider curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored interventions and structured literacy support to students with dyslexia on a one-to-one or small group basis.
Implement multisensory teaching approaches and use appropriate resources to support reading, writing, and spelling development.
Monitor and record students’ progress, providing regular feedback to class teachers and parents.
Collaborate with school staff to ensure students’ individual learning plans and targets are met.
Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified teacher or experienced support staff member with specialist training or experience in supporting students with dyslexia.
Have a thorough understanding of dyslexia and evidence-based strategies for supporting literacy development.
Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
Hold a current, valid DBS or be willing to obtain one.
