We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.

As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback.

With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.


Responsibilities

* You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
* Maintain a safe and welcoming store environment, following all safety and security procedures and training.
* Interact with customers to gather feedback and continuously look for ways to improve service in-store.
* Assist across store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Follow Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Occasionally run the shift in the absence of the shift leader and store manager.
* Complete required training to maintain safety and compliance for yourself, colleagues and customers.
* Post Office Local duties (if applicable), including background checks as required by the role.
