The Snapshot Location: Oldham (Convenient for M60 and M62 commuters) Salary: £24,500 – £28,000 (Pro-rata, dependent on experience) Contract: Permanent, Term-time only 1 week Start Date: ASAP Detailed Responsibilities Daily Monitoring: Conducting "first-day-calling" for absent students and maintaining an accurate, up-to-the-minute electronic register using school systems (SIMS/Arbor). Home Visits: Conducting home visits to meet with parents and students where attendance is a concern, identifying underlying issues such as anxiety, illness, or external challenges. Intervention & Support: Creating and monitoring attendance action plans for persistently absent (PA) students and coordinating with Year Leaders to implement internal rewards for improved presence. Legal Liaison: Working closely with the Local Authority Education Welfare Service to prepare documentation for fixed-penalty notices or legal proceedings when necessary.
