We are looking for an experienced and motivated scan Operator with relevant experience, to perform DEXA scans and further develop our existing DEXA service, to include Whole Body scans for Body Composition Assessment.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
1. To provide a high-quality Dexa service which treats patients with dignity and respect.
2. To offer modality specific advice to patients, giving a clear explanation of the scanning process.
3. Assisting patients on and off the scanner and positioning the patient accurately in order to achieve optimum precision; patient safety and comfort are integral to the process.
4. To maintain and evidence clear and accurate clinical records and make them available for auditing purposes.
5. To support colleagues in the wider clinic environment with any enquiries relating to DEXA and booking patients.
6. Promote clinical governance through the implementation of high standards of clinical practice & quality assurance.
7. To keep updated on current legislation, national standards and professional guidelines relevant to the area of clinical practice, including CQC requirements.
About us
Heath Lodge Clinic is an Independent Imaging Centre in Knowle, Solihull, which aims to provide a caring and supportive workplace to all employees.
Our clinical service provision includes an MRI unit comprising two state of the art 3T scanners, and an additional 1.5T scanner. We also provide X-Ray, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy, as part of our Pain Management service.

The successful applicant will be the face of the service and must be well organised, approachable and be able to manage their own workload efficiently.
The clinic is well recognised for our patient centred approach and any successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate an empathic approach when dealing with our patients.
Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience of DEXA scanning: Hologic preferred, but training can be provided.
* Evidence of CPD and mandatory training.
* Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
* Team player.
Qualifications
