Job Description:
The Edinburgh team is seeking a Design Verification Engineer to grow its talented group located in the city centre of the Scottish capital. ADI’s Personal Electronics Solutions Group has been leading the industry, working with the world’s leading consumer companies, providing high value audio solutions for the portable, wearable, and gaming markets. Responsibilities
1. Complete verification ownership – Testbench Architecture, Testplan and Testbench Development, Functional and Code Coverage Closure
2. Verification of key digital IP blocks in differentiated mixed-signal devices targeted for the consumer market
3. Architecting a unified verification environment supporting both digital only and mixed signal verification requirements (UVM based).
4. Behavioral modelling of analog blocks and DMS netlist generation.
5. Debug efficiently while clearly articulating gating issues to engineering leads
6. Successful Integration of block level testbenches at SoC top-level and verifying proper SoC integration
7. Usage of industry standard methodologies like UVM and constrained random to achieve verification goals
8. Actively explore and deploy techniques to improve coverage while reducing verification time
9. Involvement in post-silicon activities such as silicon bring-up, evaluation support, and ATE pattern bring-up
10. Continue to improve DV methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives
Requirements
11. Electronic Engineering/Computer Engineering degree with at least 5 years of progressive experience in digital verification
12. Demonstrated experience in developing UVM-based testbench infrastructure, functional cover point development, code coverage analysis/closure, and assertion development
13. Excellent understanding and experience of Verilog and SystemVerilog
14. Proficiency in Scripting languages and utilities including Makefile, Python, Perl etc.
15. Experience with both IP and SoC level verification
16. Strong inter-personal, teamwork, and communication skills are required
Preferred Qualifications
17. Knowledge in AHB/AXI/APB protocols; passion for Audio and knowledge in Audio IP/Interface would be a big plus
18. Ability to create a verification plan with work breakdown and drive it as a (sub)project
19. Experience in DMS/AMS, Power aware simulations or Formal Verification
20. Understanding of DSP (Digital Signal processing) concepts
