SEND Teacher - Shrewsbury — Full-Time / Part-Time | Temporary & Long-Term Opportunities
Are you a dedicated and passionate teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a supportive specialist school in Shrewsbury.
The Role
* Deliver engaging, creative and tailored lessons across the curriculum to pupils with a range of needs (ASD, SEMH, MLD and other learning difficulties).
* Differentiate planning and resources to meet individual learning styles and EHCP targets.
* Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals to provide holistic support.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil can thrive.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting independence and personal development.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
* Experience working within SEND or alternative provision is highly desirable, though strong mainstream teachers with a passion for SEND are also encouraged to apply.
* Excellent behaviour management with a calm, patient and empathetic approach.
* A strong understanding of different learning needs and effective strategies to support them.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
