Job Description
As a General Assistant you will…
* Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner in line with established menus and recipes.
* Support the kitchen team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times, including general food preparation tasks.
* Picking up and checking deliveries.
* Help to facility team with room setups.
* Carry out washing-up duties in the main kitchen during busy periods.
* Keep front-of-house areas clean and organised, including managing dishes and utensils.
* Follow correct food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
* Maintain tea points around the building (restocking supplies and washing up as needed).
* Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
* Training will be provided. However, a positive attitude, a genuine smile, a commitment to exceeding customer expectations, and being a great team player are essential.
Qualifications
* Ideally have experience working within Education catering
* Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
* Fun and enthusiastic
* Have excellent organization skills.
