As a Category Manager, you’ll oversee a significant spend area in the impulse category – shaping the strategies and driving growth for key clients in this dynamic sector.
Responsibilities
* Develop relationships with key suppliers that promote efficient ways of working with an innovative and strategic approach
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services meet the quality, service, and price required
* Full awareness of market trends identifying opportunities to develop ranges and excite our customers
* Ensure a safe supply chain for employees, clients, and consumers
* Retention activities related to categories, suppliers, and products within assigned portfolios
Qualifications
* Strong Category procurement or National Account Management experience within the Impulse Sector
* Retail buying experience
* Experience of complex supplier, distributor and client management
* Strong decision maker, with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure
* Solid analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to make effective decisions
* A collaborative team player that brings people together to deliver results
* Strategic thinker who can demonstrate impact and influence across an organisation
* A “Can Do” attitude to resolve issues and take learnings to drive ongoing Continuous Improvement
