Our client, a well-established logistics company, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join their busy operation in Leeds. The Role
As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe handling of goods within the warehouse. Your main responsibilities will include:
Safely operating counterbalance and reach forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and store goods.
Handling deliveries - checking quantities and condition, and completing all necessary documentation.
Supporting the organisation of stock to maximise warehouse space and efficiency.
Preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.
Carrying out regular equipment checks and reporting any faults.
Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with company and H&S standards.
Liaising with drivers and subcontractors, providing clear instructions for loading/unloading.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Weekly alternating shifts: 7am-4pm and 9am-6pm (1-hour lunch)
Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate
Occasional Saturday mornings (paid as overtime)

About You
Valid forklift licence (counterbalance/reach) - essential
Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse/logistics environment
Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail
Good organisational and communication skills
Basic computer literacy (MS Office 365 experience desirable)
A proactive, flexible approach to teamwork and problem-solving
A first aid qualification (preferred, not essential)
