About the role
As a multi-drop Class 2 Driver for Matthew Clark, you will deliver orders to customer premises efficiently and courteously, ensuring safety, timeliness, and completeness of deliveries.
We offer a full-time permanent position with shifts from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work during peak periods such as Christmas or major sporting events.
Your responsibilities include delivering products within a designated area, assisting from a Driver's Mate, and providing excellent customer service by ensuring each delivery is made with care, friendliness, and punctuality.
Applicants must have at least 3 years of driving experience and be willing to undergo DVLA license checks.
Typical working day
1. Perform vehicle inspections
2. Ensure orders are secured and correctly packaged for delivery
3. Coordinate with your Driver’s Mate for the delivery run
4. Communicate delays or issues to customers
5. Assist with unloading orders at customer premises
6. Handle returns such as empty kegs and pallets appropriately
7. Follow health and safety procedures
8. Complete paperwork, EPOD tasks, and liaise with transport management regarding vehicle issues
9. Comply with Tachograph legislation
About you
You have over three years of driving experience, including at least 12 months of Class 2 driving, with a valid HGV and CPC license. You excel in customer service and communication, are familiar with local roads, and are adaptable to various delivery scenarios.
