These two very English villages and their surrounding patchwork quilt of fields, woodland spinney, water meadow and parkland, are just perfect for relaxing and exploring. Perched on the West Oxfordshire border, these traditionally farmed estates spanning 7,000 acres, are crisscrossed by miles of circular walks and family trails for visitors to discover.Click here for more information about this locationAs our Community, Participation and Volunteering Coordinator, you'll support the leadership of our community engagement and volunteering work, putting people at the centre of our plans. You’ll build strong partnerships, create inclusive engagement opportunities, support and value our many volunteers, and encourage community‑led activities that help restore nature and heritage.You’ll support colleagues, champion best practice, and ensure our systems and data are well managed. You’ll work to remove barriers to participation, ensuring underrepresented voices are heard and actively involved.Drawing on insight and relationships, you’ll help shape strategic decisions and trial new approaches to participation, connecting people with places and creating lasting public benefit.You'll support volunteer managers across our properties, giving them the tools and confidence to create flexible, rewarding volunteering experiences. From developing new ways for people to get involved to strengthening relationships with local groups, you'll help build meaningful pathways into our work. Every day will look different, you might be co-creating a project with a community partner, supporting volunteer teams, or exploring new approaches to participation. You'll focus on building partnerships, supporting volunteers, and creating meaningful opportunities.We’re looking for a passionate individual to take on a part-time role supporting our West Oxfordshire property group. This unique opportunity is based on the 7,500-acre Buscot & Coleshill Estate, but spans an incredible range of places, including 2 villages, multiple countryside sites ranging from parkland and farmland to woodland, even the 3,000-year-old White Horse Hill at Uffington, as well as pay for entry sites, Chastleton House and Ashdown House.You'll be part of a team working closely with partners and volunteers to deliver conservation work, improve access and share the stories of these special places. With expanding community projects and new ways for people to get involved, it's an exciting time to make a real impact.This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
