What You’ll Be Doing
We’re seeking a strategic, compassionate, and creative leader to head our Adults & Health Strategy Team. This pivotal role sits at the heart of Camden’s mission to improve health outcomes, reduce inequality, and ensure adult social care supports dignity and independence. You’ll lead a diverse team to shape and deliver forward-thinking strategies focused on health equity, integration, prevention, and neighbourhood-based care. Partnering closely with senior leaders, elected members, and health partners, you’ll drive transformation through human-centred, design-led approaches that embed co-production, participation, and relational practice.
Reporting to the Director of Strategy, Design & Insight and accountable to the Executive Director for Adults and Health, you’ll influence policy and service change across Adult Social Care, Public Health, and Health and Well-Being, helping turn Camden’s ambitious Missions into meaningful action on the ground. Your leadership will foster a culture of trust, innovation, and continuous learning—ensuring the team thrives while delivering impactful, evidence-based change that puts people first.
About You
You combine vision with pragmatism, expertly balancing big-picture thinking with practical delivery. With strong senior experience in strategy, policy, or transformation, you’ve led change in complex systems—especially in adult social care, health, or local government. You thrive in tackling tough, ambiguous challenges through creative, evidence-based, and design-led approaches, always curious about evolving public services to better serve people. A committed learner and problem solver, you build psychological safety and wellbeing within teams, championing equality and anti-racist leadership at every step.
