Reception SEN Teaching Assistant – Kenilworth, Coventry, CV8
Location: Kenilworth, Coventry, CV8
Weekly Rate: £460 - £500
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time - 8:30am to 3:15pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Long Term with potential for Permanent
Responsibilities
* Work 1:1 with a child in Reception with identified special educational needs, following their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Provide consistent support in communication, emotional regulation, and learning to help the child access the Early Years curriculum and develop independence.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Previous experience working in Early Years (Reception or Nursery) with pupils with SEN needs such as ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Delay, or SEMH
* Proven experience working 1:1 and supporting differentiated learning in line with EHCP targets
* A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree
* Knowledge of strategies such as visual timetables, Zones of Regulation, and Makaton (desirable)
* Strong behaviour management skills with a nurturing, patient approach
* Ability to work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and outside agencies
* A sound understanding of early intervention and child development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
