Position: Luton Van Driver / Removals
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour
Our Client's Requirements
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Luton Van driver to join our client's team. The role involves delivering goods to customers and ensuring that every project is completed to the highest standards.
The Role
1. Deliver goods across the South of England.
2. Interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone, maintaining high standards of service.
3. Work hours are generally from 7 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential variations depending on routes.
4. Overnight stays may be required for international and long-haul routes.
5. Coordinate with the Logistics Manager, company owners, and colleagues to ensure project completion.
6. Complete operational activities such as unloading, storing, picking, and loading, including heavy lifting.
7. Load and unload company equipment on and off the van.
8. Manage daily schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce repeat visits.
9. Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.
10. Maintain vehicle safety through daily checks and ensure safe operation.
11. Keep vehicles clean and tidy and maintain stock levels of consumables.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points. Experience with Sprinter-sized vans and face-to-face customer interaction is advantageous. Manual handling of heavy items and physical fitness are required. Flexibility in working hours and familiarity with hand tools are beneficial.
