Skills Required

Exceptional skills in behaviour de:escalation, conflict resolution, and maintaining a calm, positive classroom environment.

The ability to differentiate the curriculum dynamically to meet diverse cognitive abilities and emotional barriers to learning.
*
A robust, non:judgemental nature with the capacity to remain professional and supportive during challenging situations.
*
A willingness to participate in physical activities and active learning sessions to keep students engaged and regulated.
Job Responsibilities
*
Planning and delivering an engaging, multi:sensory curriculum tailored to the unique cognitive, emotional, and physical needs of your pupils.
*
Implementing, tracking, and updating individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to monitor small:step progress.
*
Effectively deploying and managing classroom teaching assistants to ensure a safe and highly supportive learning environment.
*
Partnering closely with pastoral support networks, therapists, and families to provide holistic care and education.
Essential Requirements
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is mandatory.
*
Proven experience teaching children with SEMH needs or complex behavioural challenges within the UK.
*
An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
*
Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role).
