About the role:
As Operations Manager, you will support the Managing Director in leading our team to ensure all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards. You will play a key role in fostering continuous improvement and operational efficiency while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. This position is a 5-day week, from 7:30am to 5pm.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Plan, schedule, and oversee manufacturing and repair workflows to ensure timely delivery meeting customer specifications.
2. Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety compliance and conducting inspections.
3. Supervise and develop workshop technicians, managing staff deployment, workshop space, equipment, and materials to optimise operations and reduce waste.
4. Ensure high standards of service across all business areas, taking ownership of production, repair, and warehouse processes, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
5. Monitor departmental spending and implement initiatives to enhance cost control without compromising quality.
6. Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to resolve workshop issues, staying updated on industry trends.
About you:
You should have a strong background in operational leadership within a production or workshop environment. The ideal candidate can embrace change and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. Essential skills include leadership, team development, engineering processes, project management, Lean management, problem-solving, organisational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, and familiarity with ERP systems. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent is preferred.
