Your new companyYou'll be joining a leading organisation delivering essential infrastructure projects within the utilities sector. This is an urgent requirement for a skilled professional to support a high-profile contract.Your new roleAs a Freelance Estimator, you will provide estimating support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance.Your responsibilities will include:
* Producing accurate and timely estimates for ongoing projects
* Advising senior management on commercial influences and risks
* Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to gather cost data
* Ensuring supplier/subcontractor terms align with client requirements and assessing any deviations
* Prioritising workload to meet business needs
* Influencing key stakeholders and implementing process improvements
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience within the water or utilities industry
* Strong Excel proficiency
* Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating for water/wastewater projects
* Degree in Construction or Quantity Surveying
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
