We are recruiting to a Team Manager (Occupational Therapy qualified) to lead our new Connect2Community (C2C) teams in East Surrey. These teams are at the forefront of our resident-focused, early intervention approach, supporting people from first contact and delivering timely, strengths-based care. This role is hybrid, based three days per week in the office.


Key Responsibilities

* Support residents with rapid assessments and proactive planning
* Connect people to local and community services
* Triage referrals and manage immediate risks
* Work closely with colleagues from different professional backgrounds
* Lead a team delivering high-quality, person-centred support

As a Team Manager, you will:

* Lead, motivate and support your team to deliver high-quality, strengths-based Occupational Therapy and social care practice
* Ensure practice standards, quality assurance and customer experience expectations are met
* Oversee day-to-day workflow, triage and resource management
* Build effective partnerships with health colleagues, community services, voluntary sector partners, carers and families
* Supervise ATMs, promoting reflective practice, development and staff wellbeing
* Ensure practice aligns with legislation, policy and budget
* Drive service improvement within the C2C model, including early intervention and effective risk management
* Lead safeguarding responsibilities and create an inclusive, supportive team culture

Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) – Surrey County Council is undergoing Local Government Reorganisation, moving from a two-tier system to two new unitary councils in April 2027. If you are employed by Surrey on 1st April 2027, your role will transfer with current terms and conditions to one of the new organisations, supporting local devolution and greater powers for our communities.


Qualifications

* A qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing or another relevant field (with registration where required)
* Strong experience in adult social care, including knowledge of OT-related legislation and strengths-based practice
* Proven ability to manage, motivate and develop staff, with confidence managing performance, supporting reflective practice and ensuring high-quality service delivery
* Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies
* Ability to manage complex risk, safeguarding and operational challenges with strong organisational and resource-management skills
* A commitment to personalised, inclusive practice aligned with Surrey's "no one left behind" ambition
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, willing to travel across a wide geographical area
