Finance Analyst – 6-Month FTCLocation: Hull, UK (On-site)Contract: 6-month fixed-term contractSalary: Up to £55,000
Role OverviewElevation Recruitment Group is supporting a client in the recruitment of a Finance Analyst on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in supporting the finance function, providing high-quality financial analysis, insight, and reporting to aid business decision-making.
The successful candidate will work closely with both finance and operational teams, ensuring accurate financial information, supporting reporting processes, and contributing to overall financial performance. Exposure to finance systems and tools such as Power BI will be beneficial in supporting reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports
* Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
* Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
* Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial records
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes
* Previous experience in a Finance Analyst or similar role
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly
* Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Good Excel skills and general familiarity with finance systems (Power BI experience advantageous)
* Accounting or finance qualification/degree preferred (ACCA, CIMA, CPA desirable but not essential)
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage priorities effectively
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
