We’re looking for an ambitious and motivated finance professional to join our growing Group finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond a traditional Accounts Assistant role and gain exposure to a broader range of accounting and reporting responsibilities.
Working directly with our CFO and Financial Controller, you’ll receive hands-on mentoring and support while developing valuable experience across multiple group companies. You’ll be given real responsibility from day one and the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a successful career in finance.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting the month-end accounting process and maintaining strong financial controls across the Group.
Responsibilities will include:
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliations across multiple group companies.
* Processing payroll journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals.
* Supporting the month-end close process.
* Managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
* Investigating and resolving accounting queries and reconciling items.
* Producing KPI and management information reports.
* Analysing overhead expenditure and supporting management reporting.
* Assisting with audit requirements and finance projects.
* Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.
About You

We’re looking for someone who:
* Has strong attention to detail and enjoys working with numbers.
* Is organised, reliable and takes pride in producing accurate work.
* Has good Excel skills and is comfortable working with data.
* Wants to learn and develop their accounting knowledge.
* Enjoys taking ownership and responsibility.
* Is studying towards, or interested in studying towards, AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualifications.
Previous experience of reconciliations, journals and month-end processes would be advantageous but attitude, aptitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
