An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time, term‑time Early Years Domestic Support (EYDS) position in The Spinney Lane Nursery. We are looking for an EYDS to join our dedicated nursery team and support the delivery of light meals and snacks for our nursery children.
Candidates who are passionate about working in a childcare setting and have previous catering experience are invited to apply. Applicants should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate will provide domestic support to keep the early years establishment tidy for children, parents and staff and support the delivery of light meals and snacks for children.
The Spinney Lane Nursery, located in the grounds of Gilmerton Primary School, provides early learning and childcare for children aged 3‑5. The nursery has run a full‑time, term‑time placement for approximately 60 children, with hours from 8.30‑3pm Monday‑Thursday and 8.30‑12.30 Friday.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required if the applicant has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
