As a well-established manufacturing business who are market leaders in the UK, we find ourselves needing a seasoned European Sales Manager to look after a vast territory. This Sales Manager role is ideally suited to a technical consumables' sales specialist based in the UK, France, Germany, Belgium or Holland.

European Sales Manager, Export Sales Manager - Manufacturer
Responsibilities
* As a European Sales Manager, you will maximise profitable sales of our products across your territory, reporting directly to the UK Managing Director.
* Work with, and manage our key distributors to create demand for our products by providing site support to end-users and wider industry stakeholders.
* Plan and implement a business development strategy for your region.
* Manage your own diary and activity; this is an autonomous role and requires someone used to planning and managing their own time, travel and accommodation where required.
* Prepare monthly reports of sales activity including general customer feedback, progress against plan and competitor activity.
Qualifications / Experience
* Knowledgeable in the technical consumables world of paints, resins, coatings, adhesives, construction, flooring, roofing, abrasives.
* Able to clearly communicate at all levels, with fluency in English and any other European languages would be an advantage.
* A highly motivated self-starter, able to see things commercially and prioritise workload as a result.
* In possession of a full driving license and passport and willingness to travel throughout Europe as required.
Job description
This European Sales Manager role will see you out of the country up to 70/80% of your time depending on your home base. You will report directly to the UK Managing Director and you will be responsible for maximising profitable sales of our products across your territory.

* Manage direct reports across the European territory (currently 3) and ensure as a team you are driving sales in the region.
* Plan and implement a business development strategy for your region.

* Prepare monthly reports of sales activity including general customer feedback, progress against plan and competitor activity.
Prospects
We are looking for experienced, ambitious professionals happy to spend large parts of their time staying away. From the UK this is a traditional Export role. Where possible, we have an active policy of promotion from within and firmly believe in the development of all personnel.
