Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone, a category C male prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Featherstone is a training prison with a population of 678 males and a layout of 7 wings. As a Paramedic, you will cover any patient incidents throughout the prison and also work out of the Healthcare department.
Working Pattern & Hours
* 30 hours per week
* Monday – Sunday service
* 3 x 12 hour shifts – days to be agreed
* Shift windows 7am – 8pm
Salary
Annual salary of £36,615.35 per annum FTE, pro‑rota to £35,150.74 and down to ... depending on experience.

Candidate requirements
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding evidence based care to patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them – focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Paramedic
* Current professional registration (HCPC)
* Proven post‑registration ambulance experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Proven experience in Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries/illness
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment – although not essential, ideal applicants would have it.
