Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth Tuesday/Tuesday (B-Crew)
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Water Well Drilling Supervisor to join our team at Cloudbreak. This is a key leadership role responsible for supervising water well drilling operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and industry standards.
As a leader in the field, you will guide and support a team of drillers, coordinate equipment and resources, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of drillers to deliver safe, efficient, and effective water well drilling operations
* Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of drilling projects from commencement to completion
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements
* Maintain drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance and coordinate scheduled maintenance
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet project deadlines and operational targets
* Provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and constructive performance feedback
* Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement practical solutions
* Maintain accurate records of drilling progress, safety checks, and equipment usage
* Monitor and manage project costs to support budget adherence
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated experience in water well drilling, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role
* Strong knowledge of drilling equipment, tools, and operational techniques
* Sound understanding of regulatory requirements, health & safety standards, and environmental guidelines
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and support diverse team members
* The ability to work effectively in remote and challenging environments with a strong safety focus
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organisational skills
* Certificate IV in Drilling Operations
* Class 1 Water Well Permit (Class 2 preferred)
* Completed legislation examination for statutory supervisors
