Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant – SEMH

Salary: £85–£110 per day

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We’re looking for someone with the skills, patience, and commitment to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and thrive in school.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the importance of consistency, empathy, and structure. You’ll be working with pupils who need additional support, helping them to engage with learning, manage their emotions, and build confidence in and out of the classroom.
What the role involves:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions
* Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policy
* Encouraging pupils to develop resilience, independence, and positive relationships
* Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide joined-up support
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
* Brings strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
* Can build trust and positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Is resilient, adaptable, and committed to making a difference
