About the Role
We’re seeking a talented Senior Controls Engineer to join our growing automation team based in Havant. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and commissioning of advanced control systems for a wide range of industrial automation projects.
As a Senior Controls Engineer, you’ll take ownership of full project lifecycles — from concept and design through to commissioning — working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, high-quality automation solutions. You’ll be instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining our reputation for engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
* Manage automation projects from concept through to site commissioning.
* Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to integrate complete automation solutions.
* Conduct testing, fault-finding, and troubleshooting on control systems.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
* Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation best practices.
Requirements
* Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal (essential).
* Proven background in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
* Experience within industrial automation, manufacturing, or process control environments.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
