Job Title: Engineering Planner Location: Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (07:00–15:30 and 07:00–15:00 split)
My client a long-standing UK manufacturer that plays a key role in producing essential hygiene products used nationwide. Develop and manage detailed weekly maintenance plans, including 5-weekly engineering shuts
Coordinate labour, contractors (30–40 on-site during shuts), tools, and equipment
Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Leads, Engineering Manager, and Production teams
Liaise with contractors and insurance inspectors
Mechanically biased with hands-on experience and contractor supervision
Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SharePoint (MS Project is a bonus)
Completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent)
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving industrial environment
HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in paper/packaging or similar manufacturing
