Laboratory Technician (Entry Level)

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work and has an interest in construction, materials, or laboratory testing. Previous experience in a construction or physical property testing laboratory would be advantageous, but full training will be provided. There are also excellent opportunities for career progression within our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Producing test results in accordance with documented procedures, standards and specifications.
* Carrying out testing/sampling activities in compliance with company and industry standards.
* Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment.
* Ensuring laboratory equipment is calibrated, safe and suitable for use.
* Handling materials (soil, concrete, asphalt etc.) safely and efficiently.
* Ensuring confidentiality of all customer information obtained or created during laboratory activities.
* Working within our Red Lab testing facility.
Requirements
* Experience testing geotechnical or construction materials.
* Strong oral, written and numeracy skills.
* Awareness of safe working practices.
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Excel desirable).
* Good attention to detail and observational skills.
* Physically fit (role involves manual work, including carrying/moving samples).
