Machinist, Grinder (Gears) M/F (H/F) - GOODRICH ACTUATION SYSTEMS LIMITED (UK) role at AEROCONTACT
Responsibilities
* Set and operate both external and internal cylindrical CNC grinders.
* Perform basic program/offset manipulation and use integrated machine probe systems.
* Validate parts using measurement systems and ensure adherence to specifications.
* Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to support development and NPI activities.
* Follow process layouts, work instructions, and comply with quality standards.
* Coordinate First Line Maintenance and TPM as required.
* Support personal and team skill development, while maintaining high safety standards.
Qualifications
* Essential skills: Minimum 3 years\' experience setting and operating CNC grinders in a precision engineering environment.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Desirable skills: Apprentice trained background.
* Experience with Studer machines (preferred but not essential).
* Familiarity with measurement systems and integrated probe tools.
* Flexibility to support various duties within the cell based on workload.
* Willingness to work shifts.
