Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Clinical Director within Intellectual Disabilities to join their established team. The successful candidate will oversee and provide strategic focus to the Intellectual Disabilities services inclusive of the Group Homes, Community Intellectual Disabilities Team and the New Dimension’s Day Programme. They will have accountability for the effective and efficient utilization of resources allocated to the Intellectual Disabilities Directorate.

Responsibilities:
* Defining the operational priorities and action plans to meet the organizational strategic plan within the scope of their directorate.
* Offering clinical expertise and leadership as a partner in carrying out the Strategic Direction and service development for the Directorate
* Ensuring that clinical, business and operational policies, procedures, and processes are evidenced-based, adhere to best practices, and meet accreditation and regulatory requirements with patient safety at the forefront.
* Monitoring clinical, human resources and operational indicators to identify, explain and correct variances in a timely manner as defined and required by the organization.
* Collaborating with other managers as appropriate to promote system solutions and resolve issues that cross directorate lines.
* Lead the strategic development and business planning for the Directorate ensuring that it supports the strategic direction of BHB, organizational goals and community needs.
Qualifications & Registrations
* Must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited institution
* 7-10 years progressive management experience in functional area
* Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner, which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development.
* Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served
* Maintains current registration as required by the Bermuda Nurses Council, Allied Health Council or other appropriate professional body

* Salary Grade: $144,651.63 (CD5) (low tax rate)
* Subsidised housing for the first 3 months, with travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.
