ResLife Assistant (Casual Hourly)
Falmouth Exeter Plus is looking for ResLife Assistants to support the new cohort of students arriving this September by providing an enriching, friendly, and supportive community in our Halls of Residence.
Key Responsibilities
As a ResLife Assistant you will:
* Run activities and events within the Universities' calendar year to enhance the student experience.
* Support student engagement, encouraging interaction, involvement and participation in university life.
* Create a friendly, positive atmosphere among halls residents, improve student well-being via various engagement routes, and help new students develop independent living skills.
* Support isolated students, ensuring the event program is available to all first‑year students at Falmouth University and the University of Exeter.
* Apply an understanding of safeguarding and self‑awareness as part of the role.
Key Qualifications
Successful candidates will:
* Be a current Falmouth University or University of Exeter student working towards a degree.
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can confidently engage with all students.
* Understand the Falmouth University and University of Exeter student experience, including extracurricular and campus opportunities.
* Have prior involvement with extracurricular activities (volunteering, society/club membership, committee, or student mentoring).
* Possess social media and graphic design skills, and some experience in administration and record keeping.
* Take a practical hands‑on approach.
* Desirable: knowledge of student well‑being topics such as mental health, homesickness, transition challenges, isolation and loneliness.
